Learn how to sew a waistband with interfacing and how to sew a waistband on a skirt. Shows 2 different types of waistbands.

 

Level:

Although this is a Beginners Course, the Course expects that you can already sew.  If you cannot sew, please start with Module 1.

The Course also builds up on Modules 2 – 4 which teaches seam finishes, using an overlocker and sewing a zipper.  They are however, not mandatory.  If you can already ace those, you can sign up for this one.

Basic Items Required for this Course:

  • Sewing Machine (any basic domestic electric sewing machine with at least 5 stitches.  A minimum of 12 stitches will be even better). Any brand works.
  • Basic Needlework Kit
  • Roll of Thread / Threads
  • Tailor’s Chalk
  • Box of Pins
  • Calico or any cotton fabric
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Measuring Tape
  • Seam Ripper
